Travelling to Russia to Meet a Woman in 2026
A first trip to Russia in the context of a serious meeting needs different preparation from a tourist trip. The logistical mistakes I see most often aren't the most costly ones — it's the attitude mistakes that really set people back.
— Valentin, depuis MoscouYou have been through the Strategy interview, done the Matchmaking, exchanged over video with one or several women you like. The next step is the trip. And this is often the moment when practical questions turn into psychological obstacles: is it complicated? Dangerous? Expensive? How does it actually work?
Here are the answers, based on the organization of dozens of meeting trips from Moscow.

The visa
Since 2023, Russia has operated an electronic visa (e-visa) system for citizens of many countries, including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. The procedure is simple: an online application, processing within a few days, validity of 16 days (maximum stay). That is enough for a first meeting trip. American and British citizens are not on the e-visa list: they apply for the classic tourist visa instead.
For longer stays or repeated visits, a classic tourist visa (30 days) or an invitation-based visa is needed. The agency can provide an invitation letter that simplifies the procedure.
The cost varies by type: the e-visa is free or inexpensive, while the classic visa costs between 60 and 120 euros depending on the consulate and the processing time.
For Belarus it is even simpler: no visa is needed if you arrive through Minsk airport (maximum stay of 30 days for European citizens). See our guide to Minsk and Belarusian women for the details. And for the Russian e-visa procedure step by step — the form, the compliant photo, the real processing times — the practical guide to the Russian e-visa walks through every field and the traps to avoid.
The flight
Since the European airspace restrictions of 2022, there are no direct flights between Western Europe and Moscow. The options go through connections.
The most common routes in 2026: Paris → Istanbul → Moscow (Turkish Airlines, ~8h total), Paris → Dubai → Moscow (Emirates, ~12h), Paris → Belgrade → Moscow (Air Serbia, ~7h). Similar connections exist from London, New York or Montreal via Istanbul and Dubai. Return fares range from 300 to 700 euros from Europe depending on the season and how early you book.
For Minsk, flights via Istanbul or Dubai also exist. Belavia (the Belarusian national carrier) operates flights from several European cities.
The agency does not book flights — that is your responsibility — but we advise you on the best routes and the most favourable periods. To pick your departure window, see the best time to meet a Russian woman; to cost the whole project line by line, our full budget guide covers the question.
Accommodation

We recommend hotels in central Moscow, close to the meeting venues we organize. Budget: 80 to 150 euros per night for a good 3-4 star hotel in the centre. Rented apartments are also an option (50-100 euros per night through local platforms).
In Minsk, prices are significantly lower: 40 to 80 euros per night for a hotel of equivalent quality.
The agency does not handle accommodation bookings, but we provide a list of tested and recommended hotels in each city. For getting around once you are there — metro, taxis, the Troika card — our complete Moscow transport guide covers the practical side.

Take the compatibility testHow a meeting trip unfolds
A typical trip lasts between 5 and 10 days. Here is how it works in practice.
Before departure. The agency plans your meetings. Depending on how many women you wish to meet (usually 2 to 5 per trip), we set the dates, venues and times. Each meeting lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours.
On site. You are accompanied by a bilingual assistant who acts as interpreter and guide. She is present at every meeting to ease communication and help you decode cultural signals. Between meetings you are free to visit the city, rest, or prepare the next encounter.
The meetings. They take place in pleasant public venues: cafés, restaurants, parks. The atmosphere is that of a real date — not a casting call. You have time to talk, to get to know each other, to observe the person in front of you in a relaxed setting. To prepare well, see our article on the mistakes to avoid on a first date.
The debrief. After each meeting, the agency reviews it with you: what did you feel? What worked? What signals did you pick up? This debrief is essential, because you will inevitably project your Western cultural codes onto Russian behaviour — and often misread it.
After the trip. Back home, you take stock with the agency. If a connection formed with one or several women, we organize the long-distance exchanges (translation, coaching, follow-up). To manage this crucial phase, our guide on long-distance communication will serve you well. The trip is the beginning of the relationship, not its conclusion.
The total budget
Let us be transparent about the costs. A first meeting trip to Moscow costs approximately:
| Item | Range (7 days, Moscow) |
|---|---|
| Return flight | 400 – 600 € |
| Accommodation (7 nights) | 700 – 1,000 € |
| Meals and outings | 300 – 500 € |
| Local transport | 50 – 100 € |
| Agency support | Included in the Introduction service |
| Total excluding agency | 1,500 – 2,200 € |
For Minsk, count 20 to 30% less on accommodation and meals.
Key takeaway: 1,500 to 2,200 € for one targeted week is a concrete investment. Compared with the cumulative cost of three years of dating-app subscriptions and dinners that lead nowhere, it is the best objective-to-spend ratio on the market.
Safety
A legitimate question, especially in the current geopolitical context. The short answer: Moscow is a safe city for visitors. Street crime is lower than in Paris. The central districts are clean, well lit, and monitored.
The real risks are administrative (a lost passport, a visa issue) rather than physical. The agency gives you a safety briefing before departure and remains reachable around the clock during your stay.
The geopolitical context (sanctions, diplomatic tensions) does not affect daily life in Moscow. The city runs normally. Visa and Mastercard cards issued in Europe or North America have not worked in Russia since 2022 — plan for cash or a card issued elsewhere. The same vigilance applies to your phone: getting a Russian SIM has become complicated for a foreigner, and the SIM and eSIM guide for Russia compares the solutions by length of stay. The agency explains the practical workarounds.
When to go

| Period | Conditions | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| May – June | Spring, long days, pleasant weather | Ideal |
| September – October | Back-to-work season, lively city, mild temperatures | Ideal |
| December – February | Moscow winter, cold but charming | Possible, indoor meetings |
| January 1 – 8 | Russian New Year, everything closed | Avoid |
| May 1 – 9 | May holidays, empty city | Avoid |
Key takeaway: the two optimal windows are May-June and September-October. Strictly avoid the two weeks of the Russian New Year and the May holidays.
The next step
The meeting trip comes after the Matchmaking, once compatible profiles have been identified and video exchanges have confirmed mutual interest.
