Valentin Agency operates as a matrimonial brokerage service within the meaning of Article 6 of French Law No. 89-421 of June 23, 1989, relating to consumer information and protection.

Article 2 — Purpose

These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between Valentin Agency (hereinafter "the Agency") and its clients in the context of its international matchmaking services.

The Agency provides support services in the search for a spouse among candidates from Russia and Belarus. Services include compatible profile search, introductions, translation, meeting organization, and administrative assistance.

Article 3 — Services and pricing

The Agency offers a three-step progressive process:

  • Strategy interview: 1-hour individual video consultation with the agency director. Price: $99. One-time service.
  • Matchmaking: access to internal databases, profile building, compatible profile search. Duration: 1 month. Price: $549. Payment in 2 installments available.
  • Introduction & Follow-up: video meetings with interpreter, direct introductions, relationship coaching, support for 1 year. 10 meetings included. Price: $2,190. Payment in 3 installments available.

Travel expenses (transport, accommodation, meals) are not included in the packages and remain the client's responsibility.

Article 4 — Registration conditions

Registration is reserved for individuals who are:

  • of legal age (18 years or older)
  • single, divorced, or widowed
  • genuinely motivated by a serious and lasting relationship project

The client agrees to provide accurate information about their identity, marital status, and personal situation. Proof of marital status may be requested (divorce decree, family record book, or sworn statement).

Any commitment beyond the Strategy interview is preceded by the signing of a written contract in compliance with Article 6 of the Law of June 23, 1989. This contract specifies the nature of the services, their duration, their price, and the conditions of termination. An annex to the contract describes the criteria for the person sought by the client.

Article 5 — Right of withdrawal

For the Strategy interview (one-time online service):

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the client has a 14-day withdrawal period from the conclusion of the contract, without having to justify reasons or pay penalties. If the client expressly requests the execution of the service before the expiration of the withdrawal period (for example, by booking an immediate slot), they acknowledge losing their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

For Matchmaking and Introduction & Follow-up (matrimonial brokerage contracts):

In accordance with French Law No. 89-421 of June 23, 1989 and Articles L221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the client has a 7-day withdrawal period from the signing of the contract. During this period, the client may cancel their commitment by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, without fees or penalty. No payment will be collected before the expiration of this 7-day period.

Article 6 — Contract duration

  • Strategy interview: one-time service, no commitment period.
  • Matchmaking: 1 month from the signing of the contract.
  • Introduction & Follow-up: maximum 1 year from the signing of the contract.

In accordance with the law, tacit renewal is prohibited. Upon expiration of the contract, the client may renew their commitment by signing a new contract.

Article 7 — Payment terms

Payment is made by bank transfer, credit card, or via the integrated payment platform (Calendly/Stripe).

Installment terms cannot exceed the duration of the contract:

  • Matchmaking (1 month): full payment or in 2 installments.
  • Introduction & Follow-up (1 year): payment in 1, 2, or 3 installments.

Article 8 — Agency obligations

The Agency commits to:

  • Verify the identity and marital status of members registered in its database.
  • Search for and propose profiles compatible with the client's criteria.
  • Organize meetings and provide interpreting services when necessary.
  • Support the client throughout the process.
  • Guarantee the confidentiality of transmitted information.
  • Only share the client's information and photos with their explicit consent.

The Agency has an obligation of means, not of result. It deploys all available resources to facilitate meetings but cannot guarantee the success of a relationship or the conclusion of a marriage.

Article 9 — Client obligations

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and honest information about their identity, situation, and expectations.
  • Provide recent and accurate photographs.
  • Attend meetings organized by the Agency.
  • Behave respectfully towards the individuals introduced.
  • Inform the Agency of any change in situation (new relationship, change of criteria).

Article 10 — Early termination

In case of legitimate reason (change in personal situation, illness, relocation, etc.), the client may request early termination of their contract. Amounts corresponding to services not yet performed will be refunded, minus expenses incurred.

Article 11 — Personal data protection

Clients' personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Members' data is only shared with Agency partners with the explicit consent of the individuals concerned. Partner agencies sign a confidentiality agreement. Personal data is deleted at the end of the contract, upon the client's request.

Article 12 — Mediation and disputes

In case of dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. The client may use a consumer mediator free of charge in accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

Failing amicable resolution or successful mediation, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.

Article 13 — Applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by French law, and in particular by Law No. 89-421 of June 23, 1989, relating to consumer information and protection in the field of matrimonial brokerage.
