In one sentence: the mainstream app for a casual local date, the matchmaking agency for an international marriage plan, and the pay-per-message specialised site is the right choice in no scenario at all.
Mainstream app
Choose it if
You are looking for a light, local encounter near where you live, with no marriage plan in mind.
Wrong choice if
You really want to build a home with a serious Russian woman.
Specialised international site
Choose it if
There is no case where it is the best option for a serious plan. The business model is biased by design.
Wrong choice if
You think that with enough credits spent per message, the algorithm will end up producing a result. Statistically, it will not.
Matchmaking agency
Choose it if
You have a clear international marriage plan, you want a human selection process, and you accept paying for a quality service rather than for a free illusion.
Wrong choice if
You just want to 'see what happens', with no emotional or financial commitment.
The agency route works better because it removes, upstream, the four causes of failure of online plans: unserious profiles, the language barrier, ignored cultural codes and the logistics of the trip.
1. Unserious profiles removed upstream
On an app, you talk to 100 women to get 5 serious conversations. On an international site the ratio is worse still, because nobody qualifies the profiles. At an agency it is the other way round: 5 profiles introduced, 3 or 4 of them serious and matching what you asked for. The ratio of useful time to wasted time is in another league.
2. The language barrier handled
A serious Russian or Belarusian woman, even highly educated, rarely speaks English well enough to discuss a life plan. The agency provides an interpreter during the video dates, where everything is decided. On a site without that support, 80% of conversations die after 3 messages.
3. Coaching and preparation
Russian culture has codes that Western men often miss: the relationship to time, to courtesy, to commitment, to the little tests of a new relationship. The agency prepares you for them before each meeting. An app does nothing of the kind.
4. The meeting trip, organised
When a relationship takes shape, you have to meet in person. The agency organises the trip: visa where needed, recommended accommodation, an interpreter on site. Alone from a dating site, it is a leap into the unknown that puts off 80% of men.

Frequently asked questions
What is the fundamental difference between a matchmaking agency and a dating site?+
A dating site is a tool: it shows you profiles through an algorithm and leaves everything else to you. A matchmaking agency is a human service: a professional meets the candidates, selects, introduces and supports. The cost is higher, but for a serious plan the ratio of time spent to result is in another league.
Is a matchmaking agency really more effective than an app?+
For a serious marriage plan with a foreign woman, yes: human selection removes the unserious profiles, the scams, and the cultural and language barriers that apps do not handle. For a casual local date, an app is enough. The deciding factor is the goal, not the budget.
Why do sites like Tinder or Hinge not work for meeting a Russian woman?+
These sites are heavily infiltrated by scammers (the well-known Russian dating scams), have no human selection, do not handle the language barrier, and check neither identity nor real availability. A serious Russian woman does not sign up on these platforms: she goes through an agency or her own circle.
Are specialised international sites (RussianCupid, AnastasiaDate) an alternative?+
They look like a solution but rest on a problematic business model: pay per message, on credits, with no commitment from the platform on how serious the profiles are. Many profiles are fake or run by intermediaries. The total cost is often higher than a matchmaking agency, for a far weaker result.
How long does it take to meet someone through an agency versus a site?+
With a serious agency: 6 to 12 months on average between joining and the first real meeting. With a site or an app, most men give up after 3 to 6 months without a single serious meeting. The agency route looks longer but is far more effective in reality.
Is an international matchmaking agency right for me on a limited budget?+
It depends on the budget. Our €90 Strategy interview gives anyone an honest analysis of their plan, with no heavy commitment. If the full budget (about €2,990) is out of reach, it is better to save for 12 months and do it properly than to spend on sites and apps that will lead nowhere.
